Kate Shanasy is an Australian photographer working seasonally between her coastal home in Blairgowrie, Melbourne, and London/Europe. She’s currently based in the UK leading content creation for Broadsheet’s new London launch in October 2025.
An intuitive creative known for her ‘slightly undone’ curation, Kate explored writing, journalism and film-making before honing her craft in photography. Those early disciplines influence her work today and deepen her storytelling, which often evokes a sense of adventure and natural spontaneity. Her style is crisp, candid and romantic imagery that richly captures a moment — or a brief — for local clients, global brands or tickled-pink newlyweds.
Kate is a longtime anchor contributor with Broadsheet and her work has appeared on The Design Files, QANTAS Travel Insider, Gourmet Traveller and the front covers of Houses Magazine and Domain Review. Kate works closely with the National Gallery of Victoria and is globally represented by LA-based gallery House of Spoils and locally by Coastal Living with her popular DUNES series on the Mornington Peninsula.
