On The Rocks is a holiday mood simulation featuring Kate’s idyllic summer coastlines from Cinque Terre, Sardinia and Corsica. Bringing colour and hope to a current world of monochrome.
A virtual exhibition during COVID-19 lockdowns, On The Rocks (2020) brings colour and hope to a current world of monochrome. With the use of a 360° camera and 3D mapping technology, Kate transforms a spare room in her Northcote share-house into a pop-up gallery and interactive virtual tour. An idea spawned from desperation, boredom and a challenge to execute within all the lockdown restrictions at the time, On The Rocks became a space for a local community to gather and inject a sense of play and hope during unstable times.
On The Rocks is a holiday mood simulation featuring Kate’s idyllic summer coastlines from Cinque Terre, Sardinia and Corsica, accompanied with European summer recipes by Oh, Loretta!, floral installations by Hellian Petal, glassware by Lope Home, tiled cubes by POLY Designs, a recorded mix by Liam Alexander (Colour Club) and cold Campari refreshments served on the rocks.
