Incandescent and effervescent, Kate Shanasy is an Australian photographer working seasonally between her coastal home in Blairgowrie; city home in Melbourne; and abroad in London/Europe.

An intuitive creative known for her ‘slightly undone’ curation, Kate breathes life into all that she creates with an effortless sense of adventure, curiosity and natural spontaneity. Before photography, Kate pursued writing and filmmaking, and it’s the blend of all of her creative pursuits that positions Kate as a meaningful storyteller with depth and authenticity. The result is crisp, candid and romantic imagery that richly captures a moment - or a brief - for local clients, global brands or tickled-pink newlyweds.

Kate is a longtime anchor with Broadsheet (Australia and London) and her work appears in leading publications like, The Design Files, QANTAS Travel Insider and Gourmet Traveller. Her imagery has featured on the front covers of Houses Magazine and Domain Review and on the walls of many spectacular homes on the Mornington Peninsula with her Dunes series, which can be viewed in the Coastal Living showrooms in Rosebud and Sorrento. Kate works closely with the National Gallery of Victoria and is internationally represented by LA-based gallery, House of Spoils.
