ABOUT
Effervescent and incandescent, KATE SHANASY is an Australian photographer working seasonally between her coastal home on the Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne and London.
Known for her ‘slightly undone’ curation and capturing the energy of a moment, Kate’s storytelling is evocative and romantic with crisp and candid imagery that’s richly felt, elevated and honest.
Kate began writing with Broadsheet Media in 2014 and is now a leading photographer and contributor across the Melbourne and London offices. She works closely with the National Gallery of Victoria and her work appears in leading publications like The Design Files, Gourmet Traveller with front cover stories on QANTAS Travel Insider December 2025 and Houses: Kitchens + Bathrooms 2023.
Kate is globally represented by House of Spoils in Los Angeles and locally with her DUNES collection at Coastal Living in the Mornington Peninsula. Visit her online print shop to view her latest Italian summer series, Lemon Delight, inspired by her fave limoncello-soaked dessert on the Amalfi Coast, the delizia al limone.
